The assault resulted in the partial shutdown of the CTA tunnel and the T3 car park.

An additional two individuals are now in custody related to a robbery at London's Heathrow Airport where 21 people sustained injuries by what is thought to be an irritant spray, as stated by police.

A man, 24, was arrested in the Lambeth area on suspicion of robbery and assault and a woman, 23 was detained on suspicion of conspiring to commit a robbery. They both remain in custody, authorities confirmed.

These detentions follow a probe into an assault at the multi-storey car park at Heathrow's Terminal 3 on Sunday. Prior to the incident, two women were robbed of their suitcases upon exiting a car park lift.

A toddler aged three was among the those hurt during the incident. A total of five individuals were taken to the hospital for medical care and were later discharged.

Officers detained a 31-year-old man on suspicion of theft and assault near the location. He was subsequently released under investigation as the investigation proceeds.

Police were called at about 8:10 in the morning GMT after reports came in regarding a number of individuals injured by an irritating chemical believed to be pepper spray.

The assault - which authorities stated was a standalone incident and not being treated as an act of terror - resulted in train delays and the temporary shutdown of the Central Terminal Area tunnel and the T3 car park for a short time.
